Cabell County Courthouse Clocktower Restoration Awarded at 2026 AIA West Virginia Gala

Edward Tucker, FAIA, led the project for the firm. The jury noted: “The project has a very precise attention to detail and care for restorative craft. The hand-drawn details aligned so nicely with the character of the finished clock tower construction.”

Broadly, care was the defining thread across this year’s submissions: care for context and community, care for craft and detail, and care for the end user. The project clearly reflects that mindset, particularly in its thoughtful and respectful approach to restoration.

ETA joined WVSOM for the groundbreaking event, and presented the $35M project at the WVSOM Bio Forum in August of 2025.

We're proud to announce that Phoebe Patton Randolph has taken on the role of President, succeeding our founding principal, Edward Tucker, who will continue as Principal. This marks a new chapter for ETA, ensuring our continued growth and innovation in the region. We're also proud to announce Amber Yost’s promotion to Principal of Interior Design! Amber has been vital in leading our interior design practice, contributing to nearly all of our projects. Her new role highlights our commitment to fully executing the design vision for each project.
